  • The Health Professions website is constantly updated with new resources, opportunities, and events! You can also book an appointment with a pre-health advisor to plan your degree plan and future directions.

• UTA Science Learning Center

  • Located in LS 106, the SLC has previous exams, study guides, textbooks, and anatomy models you can check out. It is also a good place to study at!

• UTA Science and Engineering Library

  • Located in the Nedderman Hall Basement. It has several science textbooks and study areas.

• UTA Pre-Clinical Program

• UTA Biology Scholars Program

  • The Biology Scholars Program at UTA provides high‑achieving undergraduate students with research‑centered educational experience that prepares them for medical school, graduate school, and other professional programs. You take general biology courses with a research focus.

There are not necessarily medical research labs at UTA, but many do engage in research that is relevant to medical students. 

Several labs in different departments including Biology, Chemistry, Math, Physics, Psychology, etc. do research that you may like. Most of the time you can just email a professor and ask to join their lab. Please check out the UTA Research Labs Spreadsheet  for a list of all science labs at UTA.

• One year program at Baylor Scott and White Health

• Training program for students with a bachelor's degree in science (4+1) or students currently enrolled in a medical laboratory science or medical technology degree program (3+1).
