UTA has the UTeach Program that allows you to earn a Bachelor's in your Discipline with Teaching Certification. (For example, you earn a Biology degree and get certified at the same time).

There are plenty of research labs at UTA and most labs are multi-disciplinary and don't just do one area of research.
