Habitat Requirements for Cricket:
Cricket needs a horizontal enclosure at least 36 inches long, however a 4x2x2ft enclosure is best.
Maintain a basking spot of 85–90°F, a cool side around 70–75°F, and humidity at 40-60%. A UVB light (10.0) is not required but there is research that suggests it's beneficial. Diet is a frozen/thawed rat that is 10-20% of the snake's weight in grams.
🐍 Meet Cricket – The Spirited Ball Python
Cricket came to us in a cramped little cricket carrier with no room to stretch or move. Despite his rough start, he’s proven to be a resilient and determined snake.
Cricket is not a beginner snake. He is very food-motivated and can be defensive at feeding time—he will strike as you place in his frozen/thawed rat. The good news? He’s an excellent eater and never misses a meal!
Outside of feeding, Cricket needs regular, confident handling to help him learn that people aren’t a threat. With patience, consistency, and the right experienced owner, we believe Cricket will grow into a sweet and rewarding companion.

Vanellope came to us via North Texas Reptile Rescue with a reputation for being “spicy”… though she hasn’t shown us that side yet. So far, she’s been calm, curious, and surprisingly well-mannered.
That said, reputations exist for a reason, so Vanellope may occasionally channel her inner sass. She’ll do well with an adopter who’s confident, observant, and unfazed by a little personality.
Sweet, curious, and possibly just selectively spicy, Vanellope is ready to meet her match.
Rex came to us via North Texas Reptile Rescue and is, quite simply, an oddball legend. He handles defensively, keeps you on your toes, and has a long résumé as an escape artist—yes, twice. At one point he even attempted to eat a chihuahua (no dogs were harmed, egos were bruised).
Rex is intense, curious, and always plotting his next great adventure. He’s suspected to be male and around 12–14 years old, with plenty of confidence and absolutely no shame.
Rex will need a very experienced adopter, a secure enclosure, and someone who appreciates a snake with big energy and main-character vibes. He’s not for beginners—but for the right person, he’s unforgettable.
Teasley came to us through North Texas Reptile Rescue with a long recovery story and a strong personality to match. When Teasley first entered care, they were severely underweight, hadn’t eaten in a long time, and were understandably defensive (turns out being very hungry makes anyone grumpy).
With patient rehab, Teasley worked up to eating small rats about every 7 days and showed real determination along the way. Hydration has been a bit of an ongoing challenge, so Teasley will need an experienced adopter who doesn’t mind keeping a close eye on the small but important details.
Teasley is a resilient survivor with a no-nonsense vibe, looking for a knowledgeable human who appreciates a comeback story.
Lively Lucy came to us via North Texas Reptile Rescue and is exactly as advertised—lively. She’ll tolerate handling, hang out like everything’s fine… and then without warning choose chaos and throw in a quick nip just to keep you humble.
Lucy isn’t aggressive—she’s just spicy, unpredictable, and very confident in her opinions. She’s looking for an experienced adopter with quick reflexes, a good sense of humor, and the wisdom to respect a lady’s boundaries.

Ophelia came to us via North Texas Reptile Rescue as part of a large pet store surrender that included 19 snakes. She’s healthy, confident, and very involved in everyone else’s business.
Ophelia is nosey, pushy, and adorable about it—always the first to check things out and the last to mind her own business. She has a bold, curious personality and would do great with an adopter who enjoys an interactive, confident snake.

Casper came to us via North Texas Reptile Rescue and is the definition of easygoing. There’s no history of defensiveness here—Casper is calm, tolerant, and happy to mind his own business.
If you’re looking for a relaxed, low-drama snake who prefers peace over chaos, Casper is your guy. A total sweetheart and a great match for someone who appreciates a mellow personality.
Jinx came to us via North Texas Reptile Rescue and is a gentle, shy soul. He prefers to take things slow, observe quietly, and warm up on his own timeline.
Jinx will do best with a calm, patient adopter who understands that trust is earned—and once it is, it’s extra special. He’s not flashy or bold, just soft-spoken and sweet in his own way.
