Cricket came to us in a cramped little cricket carrier with no room to stretch or move. Despite his rough start, he’s proven to be a resilient and determined snake.
Cricket is not a beginner snake. He is very food-motivated and can be defensive at feeding time—he will strike as you place in his frozen/thawed rat. The good news? He’s an excellent eater and never misses a meal!
Outside of feeding, Cricket needs regular, confident handling to help him learn that people aren’t a threat. With patience, consistency, and the right experienced owner, we believe Cricket will grow into a sweet and rewarding companion.

Vanellope came to us via North Texas Reptile Rescue with a reputation for being “spicy”… though she hasn’t shown us that side yet. So far, she’s been calm, curious, and surprisingly well-mannered.
That said, reputations exist for a reason, so Vanellope may occasionally channel her inner sass. She’ll do well with an adopter who’s confident, observant, and unfazed by a little personality.

Meet Beretta 🐍💛 A female hypo Burmese python whose family was deployed to Germany and could not take her with them. She is currently about 7–7.5 feet long and weighs 17 pounds, but future adopters need to understand that she will eventually become a very large snake — potentially 15–20 feet long and well over 100 pounds.
She has a docile temperament and has had no issues being handled or picked up. She was previously eating live prey, but transitioned to frozen/thawed with zero problems and currently eats jumbo frozen/thawed rats.
Beretta will need an experienced home that understands the commitment of owning a giant constrictor. At minimum, she needs an 8-foot enclosure, though larger is strongly recommended so it will accommodate her growth for longer.
This sweet girl deserves a forever home that is prepared for her size, strength, and long-term care needs. ❤️
Meet Our Tiny Noodle! 🐍💚
(Not available until at least July 15th for quarantine and a couple of good feedings.)
Don't let his age fool you—this little guy is about a year old, but at only 76 grams, he's more fun-size than full-size! Most ball pythons his age weigh somewhere between 400 and 1,000 grams, so he's got some serious catching up to do.
His previous owner was only feeding him about once a month, so he's officially enrolled in the Scales and Tails "All You Can Eat (Responsibly)" Meal Plan. Our goal is to help him pack on some healthy weight before he heads off to his forever family.
The best part? He's an absolute sweetheart. Calm, curious, and happy to be handled, he's already winning over our volunteers despite being the smallest ball python in the room.
For now, he's sticking around for room, board, and an unlimited supply of appropriately sized rodents. We'll let you know when this tiny noodle graduates into a healthy, chunky python and is ready to slither into his forever home! 🐍❤️
Meet Ash! 🐍🩶
Formerly known as Pablo, this gorgeous red-tailed boa has officially started a new chapter—and a new name! Since we're not quite sure whether this beautiful snake is a boy or a girl yet, we've settled on the perfectly neutral name Ash. (If we later discover Ash is a she, "Ashley" is waiting in the wings. 😉)
Ash came to us after spending about four months with the previous owner. Based on size, we estimate Ash is close to one year old, though the exact hatch date is unknown. Weighing in at 200 grams, Ash has an absolutely stunning silvery-gray coloration that is sure to become even more impressive with age.
Like all new rescues, Ash will be spending some time in quarantine while we monitor health, establish a consistent feeding schedule, and make sure everything checks out before adoption.
Ash will not be available for adoption until at least July 15, giving us time for a proper quarantine period and a couple of good meals. After that, this beautiful boa will be ready to charm a forever family with both good looks and a calm personality.
Until then, Ash's current hobbies include looking majestic, pretending branches are a fashion runway, and reminding everyone that gray is definitely an underrated color. 🩶
Meet Amber! 🐍💛
This beautiful red-tailed boa came to us with the name Medusa, but honestly... she's much more golden goddess than turn-you-to-stone. So we've given her a new name that fits her gorgeous warm yellow coloring: Amber.
Her previous owner cared for her for about six months, and based on her size, we estimate she's a little over one year old. Amber is an absolutely stunning boa with a calm, curious personality that has already won over our volunteers.
Now... in the interest of full disclosure, we've been told she occasionally likes to remind people that she is, in fact, a boa. Every now and then she may get a little feisty, but don't let that fool you—most of the time she's as sweet as can be. We all have those days, right? 😉
As with all new rescues, Amber will spend time in quarantine while we monitor her health, make sure she's eating consistently, and help her settle into rescue life.
Amber will not be available for adoption until at least July 15, giving her time to complete quarantine and enjoy a few well-earned meals before beginning her next adventure.
Until then, she'll be busy perfecting her "I'm completely innocent" face... right after acting like the queen of the enclosure. 💛🐍
