CONCRETE CANOE
WHAT IS CONCRETE CANOE?
Each year, our Concrete Canoe team competes in the ASCE Concrete Canoe Competition against other student chapters across the region and nation. To participate in the canoe races, each team must design and build their own 20-foot long canoe completely out of concrete. To accomplish this goal, our team is subdivided into 3 teams that focuses on a different aspect this process. Members can join any or all of these teams: Project Management, Structural Analysis and Mix Design. Each team is led by a senior and junior captain.

Mix Design
conducts calculations for exact material quantities
researches new materials that can improve the workability of concrete mixture
creates concrete cylinders and conduct tests to determine strength of concrete mixture
