Privacy Policy

This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and how you can see or delete it. The answers here match what the app's Play Store Data Safety section declares.

What we collect

• Phone number
  Sign-in and account identity. Verified by one-time password through Google Firebase Authentication.

• Date of birth
  To confirm you are 18 or over, which is required to use the service, and to show your age on your profile.

• Profile details — name, biodata, photographs, religion, location, occupation, partner preferences
  To build your profile and find compatible matches. You choose what to provide.

• Activity — swipes, matches, chats, posts, comments, reactions
  To operate matchmaking and messaging, and to keep the service safe.

• Reports and blocks you make
  To review safety reports and to keep blocks in effect.

• Push notification token
  To notify you of new matches and messages. Tied to your device.

We do not ask for your contacts, precise location, calendar, call logs, or SMS messages. The app requests camera and microphone access from the system only where a feature needs it, and photograph selection uses the Android system picker, which gives us access only to the images you pick.

How we use it

• To match you with compatible profiles.

• To let you chat with mutual matches.

• To verify that you meet the 18+ age requirement.

• To keep accounts secure, detect abuse, and act on reports.

• To send you notifications about matches and messages.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

What other members can see

• Your profile is private by default. It appears in discovery only when you make it public in Biodata → Profile visibility.

• Members you have matched with can see your profile even if you later make it private, so that your existing conversations keep working.

• Your phone number is never shown to other members.

• Anyone you block cannot see your profile or contact you, and you will not see them.

Who we share it with

• Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging) hosts the service and processes data on our behalf. Data is stored in Google's asia-south1 region.

• Law enforcement and child protection authorities, where we are required to report or where we receive a lawful request. This includes reporting apparent child sexual abuse material, as described in our Child Safety Standards.

We share your data with no one else.

Your controls

• Profile visibility — switch between public and private in Biodata settings.

• Ghost Mode — browse profiles without it affecting recommendations.

• Photographs — delete any of them from your profile at any time.

• Blocked users — review and undo your blocks under Biodata → Blocked users.

• Notifications — turn them off in your Android settings.

Deleting your data

Delete your account from Biodata → Delete account in the app, or write to admin.iitiansfunda@gmail.com. Deletion removes your profile, photographs, posts, comments, reactions, matches, conversations, messages, and push tokens.

One exception, stated plainly: reports that other members have filed about an account are kept after that account is deleted. They contain the report itself, not your profile data. We keep them because a safety record that disappears when the account does would let someone erase a pattern of behaviour by deleting and re-registering.

How long we keep it

• Account and profile data: until you delete your account.

• Messages: until you or the other member deletes them, or the account is deleted.

• Safety reports and moderation records: retained as described above.

Children

Satnami Shaadi is for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we delete the account and its data. If you believe a minor is using the service, please tell us at admin.iitiansfunda@gmail.com or report the account in the app.

Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored in Google Firebase. Access rules on our database restrict each member to their own data, and administrative access is limited to accounts holding an explicit role, with actions recorded in an audit log.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
