These disclaimers form part of our Terms of Service and apply to everyone who uses the Satnami Shaadi app or website. Please read them together with our Community Guidelines, Privacy Policy and Child Safety Standards.

Who operates this service

Satnami Shaadi is a brand and service operated by IITiansFunda. References to “we”, “us” and “our” mean IITiansFunda. The Android application is published as com.satnami.shaadi. All correspondence is by email at admin.iitiansfunda@gmail.com.

1. Age restriction

Satnami Shaadi is strictly for adults aged 18 and over. We require a date of birth and refuse any account showing the person is under 18, enforced on our servers as well as in the app. We do not knowingly permit minors to use the service, and we terminate any account we find to belong to one. See our Child Safety Standards.

2. No guarantee of a match or a marriage

We provide a platform for adults to find and contact each other. We do not promise, guarantee or warrant that you will find a partner, receive matches, receive replies, or that any introduction will lead to a relationship or a marriage. We are not a marriage bureau, a broker, or an agent for any member, and we do not act on behalf of either side in any introduction.

3. We do not verify members

This is important, so it is stated plainly.

• We verify that a phone number is real by sending a one-time password. That is all the verification a normal account receives.

• We do not conduct background checks, criminal-record checks, identity checks, financial checks, or medical checks on members.

• We do not independently confirm any biodata — name, age, photographs, caste, religion, education, income, occupation, marital status, horoscope details or family information. All of it is supplied by the member.

• A date of birth is self-declared. Our age check confirms the date given implies 18 or over; it cannot confirm the date is true.

• Any badge, tick or label in the app means only what it says. None of them should be read as us vouching for a person.

You are responsible for satisfying yourself about anyone you communicate with. Please make your own enquiries before making any personal, financial or family commitment.

4. Content belongs to members

Profiles, photographs, biodata text, posts, comments and messages are created by members, not by us. Opinions and statements in them are the member's own and do not represent IITiansFunda. We do not pre-screen content before it appears.

We do moderate: content can be reported from anywhere in the app, we review reports, and we remove content and suspend or terminate accounts as described in our Community Guidelines. Moderation is a best-efforts process carried out by people, and we do not warrant that every piece of prohibited content will be found or removed immediately.

5. Meeting people — your safety

Meeting someone from the internet carries risk that we cannot remove. We strongly recommend that you:

• meet for the first time in a public place, in daylight;

• tell a family member or friend where you are going and who you are meeting;

• arrange your own transport, and keep your phone charged;

• never send money, share bank or UPI details, one-time passwords, or documents such as Aadhaar or a passport;

• be sceptical of anyone who asks for money, refuses a video call, or pushes to move the conversation off the app quickly;

• use Block and Report the moment something feels wrong.

We are not responsible for the conduct of any member, online or offline, and we cannot supervise meetings arranged through the service.

6. Dowry is illegal

Demanding, offering, giving or receiving dowry is a criminal offence in India under the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961. Satnami Shaadi must not be used for any dowry-related purpose. Accounts doing so are removed, and we may report them. We do not facilitate, mediate or take any part in dowry arrangements.

7. Child marriage is illegal

Arranging, seeking or facilitating a marriage involving anyone under 18 is prohibited on this service and is an offence under the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, 2006. Such accounts are terminated and reported to the appropriate authorities.

8. No professional advice

Nothing on the service is legal, financial, medical, astrological or matrimonial advice. Compatibility indications, recommendations, ordering of profiles and any horoscope or kundli information shown are conveniences based on data members supply. They are not predictions, assessments or professional opinions, and must not be relied on as such.

9. The service is provided “as is”

We work to keep Satnami Shaadi available and working, but we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of defects, or that data will never be lost. Features may change, be limited or be withdrawn. Access depends on your device, your network and third-party infrastructure, none of which we control.

10. Third-party services

The app runs on Google Firebase (authentication, database, storage, functions and messaging) and is distributed through Google Play. Those services are governed by Google's own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for outages or changes in third-party services, or for the content of any external website linked from the service.

11. Cost

Satnami Shaadi is currently free to use. There are no in-app purchases and no subscriptions. If paid features are introduced in future, the price and terms will be shown clearly before you are asked to pay anything.

12. Intellectual property

The Satnami Shaadi name, logo, design, text and software are owned by IITiansFunda and may not be copied, reproduced or used without written permission. You keep ownership of the photographs and text you upload, and grant us permission to host and display them within the service so that it can function. Do not upload anything you do not have the right to use.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, IITiansFunda is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, data, goodwill or reputation, arising out of your use of the service. In particular we are not liable for the acts, omissions or conduct of any member, whether on the service or in person, or for the accuracy of anything a member says about themselves.

Nothing in these disclaimers limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

14. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify IITiansFunda against claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your breach of our Terms of Service or Community Guidelines, from content you upload, or from your conduct towards another member.

15. Governing law

These disclaimers and our Terms of Service are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

16. Changes

We may update this page. The date at the top shows when it last changed. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated version.
