We paid tribute to the magnificent personality of Blessed Moreau symbolically, and the programs had a unique flavour. The students displayed a French dance marking the origin of the congregation in France, the dawn of missionaries to Bangladesh through- the boat dance of Bengal, a Reang dance to mark the arrival in Tripura, and a Dravidian dance to highlight the spread of the congregation to southern parts of India. To sum it up, we had a PowerPoint presentation on the life journey of the noble soul, Blessed Basil Moreau. His story helped us realise that we are people created to be with God.
The hours we spent together during the program evoked gratitude towards all our Holy Cross Fathers who do much good to humanity following the example of their Founder. We are grateful to dear fathers for their self-giving and witnessing life. We Pray that Blessed Moreau may soon be elevated as a saint.
As I conclude, I quote Blessed Moreau, “Let us be the tabernacle where God dwells since his kingdom is with us. In our hearts, may the mysterious lamp be fed unceasingly by the oil of good works and may it be kept constantly burning.” Let this line be in our minds and hearts as we make our life journey in this world.
