For the inquiry project I analyzed the effectiveness of my strategic grouping ( highly motivated students who were scoring near grade level) of MS math students on the score on SBAC. Students who were in “Math Club” scored significantly better than students who were not members.
Through setting goals for improvement of my teaching practice. I’ve really been able to grow as a professional. theILP process has been really helpful in the reflection process and highlight my improvement as a teacher. I’ve really come a long way when it comes to creating and using assessments effectively in the classroom
I served as a mentor for the MS Math department to lead discussions on how to create more engaging math lessons for distance learning and leverage our students skills. As well as discussing which resources and methods of instruction could be the most useful.
I worked with my grade level team to create informational presentations with parents and then hold meetings where this information could be disseminated and discussed.

I regularly engage and present at grade level and bilingual department Professional Learning Community Meetings (PLCs) to continue my development as a teacher of Spanish reading and help other with their professional practice
I attend extra professional development trainings to learn about the multilingual element of our Network wide adopted language arts curriculum. The expectation is that I then facilitate PLCs with my grade level team where I present on my professional learning.
Anchor Award. In Spring 2021 I was nominated by one of my coworkers for our school’s anchor award where every week one staff member is chosen who demonstrates our school’s core values of joy, equity, excellence, innovation and community. I was provided with a virtual background to use during school zooms meetings.
