I am an astronomer originally from Nepal, with a research career devoted to understanding how galaxies form and evolve across the history of the Universe. Since 2007, I have been actively engaged in extragalactic astronomy, with a particular focus on low-mass galaxies—the smallest and most numerous galaxies in the cosmos. Although these faint galaxies are often overlooked, they preserve important clues about the processes that shaped the Universe over billions of years.

I received my Ph.D. in Astronomy from Heidelberg University, Germany. Since then, I have continued my research through international collaborations across Europe and Asia. I am currently a Research Professor in the Department of Astronomy at Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea.

Beyond academic research, I enjoy communicating science to the wider public. I believe that scientific thinking extends far beyond laboratories and observatories; it offers valuable ways of understanding society, education, technology, and public policy. I regularly write articles in Nepali on astronomy, artificial intelligence, education, and science-informed governance, with the goal of making complex scientific ideas accessible to a broader audience.
