KIHON KATA ZENKUTSU DACHI DAI SAN

Required for yellow belt ranks.
For added practice:
Explain to family or friends how you would use these moves in a self-defense situation. (This is also known as bunkai). Be careful!
FOR ADVANCED: strap weights or small durable children (ask their parents first, I use my kids) to your lower legs, or back. Move slowly but correctly through your kata. Deepen your stances.

Attempt to do it all backwards.

For added practice:
Make sure you have space around you, and a helper to keep you from colliding into things. Attempt to do it blindfolded/eyes closed, see if you keep your stances and end facing the same direction.
