Notes
This NPC will allow the player to trade Salt in order to forgive Sin or cleanse themselves of Corruption.
^ Forgiving Sin costs 1000 Salt per Sin.
^ Forgiving Desecration Sin costs 10,000 Salt per sanctuary desecrated.
^ Cleansing Corruption costs 10 Salt per 1 Corruption.
Sin is accumulated when the player changes Oaths to another creed or by desecrating other Creed's sanctuaries.
^ Sin will prevent the player from rejoining previously abandoned Creeds and cause any pre-allocated NPCs of those creeds to sometimes refuse their services.
^ Desecration Sin will cause the desecrated Creed's members to become openly hostile towards the player.
Corruption is accumulated by using the Order of the Betrayer's healing item, the Blood Vial.
^ Corruption will slowly change the UI of the game from white to black, and after accumulating 300 Corruption other Creeds will attack the player on sight.
Dialogue
When the player first speaks with the NPC:
^ Well met, Saltborn.
^ I am not like you, born of Salt.
^ I am born of that life that flickers like flame.
If the player chooses the "Talk" option:
^ I am summoned by the Song of Souls, spelled in candlelight, written by the drowning Saltborn.
^ Your world is cold and stifling, my light is fleeting here.
^ To be Saltborn is to be a dying fragment of eternity. To be born of light is to be truly living, yet so ephemeral.
Upon returning:
^ Well met, Saltborn.
Upon leaving:
^ Glow brightly, Saltborn.
If a summoned player speaks to the NPC:
^ Born of salt...
