Stats

There are six stats in the game that a player may put points towards upon leveling up or gaining a Black Pearl. Each stat effects the player in a specific way.

Outside of these six stats, there are also other stats that signify your character's effectiveness at certain things, such as blocking, using spells or prayers, and the player's health pool.

When creating your character, stats should not be chosen lightly, as they will define who you are and who you will become. Those who no longer know who they are or once were have been doomed to rot on The Island.

Main Stats

Level

Raised by acquiring enough Salt and using it at a sanctuary. Doing so will not only grant the player Black Pearls for stat improvement, but each individual level increases the player's maximum HP. The maximum level a player can achieve is Level 549.

Strength

Acquired through the Skill Tree. Each point of strength will increase your physical damage when using a strength-scaling weapon. Also increases the damage of your fists, should you be foolish enough to forego using weapons.

Strength has a soft-cap of 50.

Skill Tree Nodes that grant Strength:

  • Strength Nodes

  • Hammer/Axe Nodes

  • Sword/Greatsword Nodes

  • Greathammer/Greataxe Nodes

Endurance

Acquired through the Skill Tree. Each point of endurance will increase your maximum equipment load, which may effect your movement speed and rolling speed.

Endurance has no soft-cap.

Skill Tree Nodes that grant Endurance:

  • Endurance Nodes

  • Light Armor Nodes

  • Heavy Armor Nodes

Dexterity

Acquired through the Skill Tree. Each point of dexterity will increase your physical damage when using a dexterity-scaling weapon.

Dexterity has a soft-cap of 50.

  • Dexterity Nodes

  • Spear/Poleaxe/Reaper Nodes

  • Bow Nodes

  • Crossbow/Pistol Nodes

Willpower

Acquired through the Skill Tree. Each point of willpower will increase your Item Find, Stamina, and Focus.

Willpower has a soft-cap of 50 in regards to Stamina increases. Item Find and Focus are not effected by the soft-cap.

Magic

Acquired through the Skill Tree. Each point of magic will increase your magical damage when using a magic-scaling weapon, spell, or incantation.

Magic has a soft-cap of 50.

  • Spell/Incantation Nodes

  • Wand Nodes

  • Staff Nodes

Wisdom

Acquired through the Skill Tree. Each point of wisdom will increase your holy damage when using a wisdom-scaling weapon or prayer, and also the effectiveness of prayers in general (healing, buffs, etc).

Wisdom has a soft-cap of 50.

Combat Stats

Health

The amount of HP a player has. When this reaches zero, the player dies. Maximum Health is reduced every time the player is hit by an enemy (called "Wounding"). This can be removed through the use of items, prayers or by resting at a sanctuary. Health can be raised by increasing the player's Level stat.

Focus

The amount of MP a player has. Depletes when the player uses spells, incantations, and prayers. Does not replenish automatically, but can be replenished through the use of items, MP-Leech abilities, and resting at a sanctuary. Focus can be raised by increasing the player's Willpower stat.

Stamina

The amount of energy a player has. Used for attacking, casting spells/prayers, rolling, and blocking. Recharges automatically. Maximum Stamina is reduced every time the player performs one of the actions listed above (called "Fatigue"), and caps at 50% (or 33% with the Conduit of Mind). This can be removed through the use of items or by resting at a sanctuary. Stamina can be raised by increasing the player's Endurance stat.

Attack

The amount of damage a player will do with the equipped weapon. Upgrading a weapon or increasing the stat that the weapon scales with will increase this amount. Can also be raised with certain equipment. Can be reduced depending on the enemy's defenses.

Drop Rate

The rate at which items are likely to drop from enemies. Drop Rate can be raised by increasing the player's Willpower stat. Can also be raised with certain equipment.

Equip

The amount of weight the player is currently carrying. Effected by the weight of the player's armor and equipped weapon. Having lower Equip will improve the player's rolling, movement speed, and jumping distance. Equip can be raised by increasing the player's Endurance stat.


Defensive Stats

StrikeDef

The amount of defense the player has against Strike Damage.

SlashDef

The amount of defense the player has against Slash Damage.

FireDef

The amount of defense the player has against Fire Damage.

LitDef

The amount of defense the player has against Lightning Damage.

PoisonDef

The amount of defense the player has against Poison Damage.

HolyDef

The amount of defense the player has against Holy Damage.

ArcaneDef

The amount of defense the player has against Arcane Damage.

Balance

The amount of poise the player has when hit by an enemy attack. The more balance a player has, the more damage/hits a player can take before they stagger. Also controls the amount of Stamina lost when blocking (known on Shields as "Stagger Resist %").
