1-handed+ shield or no shield
Square: Regular forward slash attack.
Triangle: Dagger spins in hand then thrust.
No charge/hold attacks 1-handed
Jump → Square/X = Slashing in the air for up to four times.
Jump → Triangle/Y = Hammer-like strong attack.
Jump → 3 attacks (either) → Triangle/Y = Jump + 3 attacks, followed by spin downwards/stab.
Roll → Square/X or Triangle/Y = Roll ending with either one of the regular or strong attack.
Square/X → Triangle/Y = Slash followed by flip kick jump forward that launches weaker mobs in the air/interrupts some others. Can be followed by mid-air attacks of course. (This can also be used to switch platforms)
Square/X → Triangle/Y → Triangle/Y = Slash followed by flip kick jump forward followed by hammer-like strong attack.
Square/X → Triangle/Y → While mid-air use 3 attacks → press triangle/Y = Regular attack, followed by a kick jump. While in mid-air slash three times using 'Square'. After slashing, press triangle to execute a spinning attack before slamming the ground.
1-handed and no shield - empty offhand
X X X Y Y = three weak attacks then two strong fast ones. But, once you have initiated the X X X Y Y you can "refresh" it by going X again, then you can again go Y Y to do the fast strong attacks. Consequently, if you can pull it off, you can do the following move on a big boss: X X X Y Y X Y Y X Y Y X Y Y X Y Y X Y Y X Y Y = good damage per stamina because the fast Y attacks do more damage than their X counterparts.
2-Handed
Square/X = Regular/slower forward slash.
Triangle/Y = Strong/slower forward thrust.
Hold Square/X = Charged up forward slash.
Hold Triangle/Y = Charged up forward thrust.
Jump → Square/X = Jump + forward slash attack.
Jump → Triangle/Y = Jump + downward stab attack. (You cannot jump → reg → hammer stab)
Roll → Square/X or Triangle/Y = Roll ending with either one of the slash or thrust attack. (You can charge the attack if you want)
Square/X → Triangle/Y = Forward slash + uppercut-like forward jump.
Square/X → Triangle/Y → Triangle/Y = Forward slash + uppercut-like forward jump ending with hammer stab.
Square/X → Square/X → Triangle/Y → Triangle/Y = Double forward slash + thrust ending with a slightly delayed slide forward slash.
