He presided over his realm during an era of unrivaled prosperity, but with each year's bounty, his paranoia and despair increased more rapidly. Did it have something to do with the rumors about his long dead brother still having a hand in ruling the kingdom?"

Advanced Notes

• Using a strike weapon with decent poise damage can stunlock this boss, allowing the player to cancel any unwanted attacks if timed correctly

• This boss can be skipped if the player climbs over the entire Ziggurat of Dust instead of entering it

^ Doing so will not allow the player to gain the Dart Brand, and may make traversal of certain areas difficult, though most Dart Brand jumps can be imitated via any Dagger's midair combo
