Who are we?
SACTA is a non-profit organization that is looking to promote tennis in the Charlotte County region by engaging students and families. We provide professional training by TPA certified coaches for both adults and youth, but also leave the courts open for those who would like to play on their own free time. As long as the courts are not booked by members, you're free to play!
We are located at: 24 Reed Street, Saint. Andrews, NB E5B 1A1, Canada.
To coordinate and promote the recreational game of tennis and to provide opportunities for all to participate at a level consistent with their personal goals.
SACTA HISTORY: Organized tennis has been played in St. Andrews, originally at the Algonquin Hotel courts, starting as early as 1912, in which year silver cups for the Gentleman's and Lady's Championships were presented by Mr. R.J. Christie, Esq. and Sir Thomas Tait.
The St. Andrews Tennis Club was formed in 1975, and is still playing on the Algonquin courts today. In 1988-89, two new courts were constructed on Town land behind the Sir James Dunn Arena, and these are the ones that we play on today. The connection with the hotel continued, as they allowed us to use their courts during tournaments. This was the case up until 2010 when the hotel courts were turned into a putting green.
In 2008 the St. Andrews Tennis Club became the St. Andrews Community Tennis Association (SACTA).

2025 Masters - report by Jenni Loudwell
The 17thTNB Masters was another success. Player numbers jumped from 37 in 2024 to 50 this year.
The usual small but enthusiastic group made sure all was in place. Short work was made of putting up the canopy as a large group of members were on hand.
We were without Mark Thibault this year but the event ran efficiently.
Christine Taylor's catering (muffins at 9am) and the cooking of the salmon for lunch was at her usual high standard. This was accompanied by a rice pilaf and salad. We thank Christine very much for all her efforts.
It was hot on Saturday, a little less so on Sunday and all play was completed by 4.30pm on Sunday.
We heard from many players who said this is one of the best run Masters and how they enjoy coming year after year. The standard of the food and our hospitality is always acknowledged.
Again this year we received generous support from our sponsors who have all been thanked for their continued commitment to the event. In addition we received vouchers from the Algonquin golf course totaling $125.00 and a $50.00 voucher from Ted Michener for The Gables.
