I finished this collection of three monologues, «Three Women's tales» , during the harsh winter that has just passed. When death surged in, I suddenly came to my senses and found myself facing forty. I had to blow out the birthday candles of my midlife in the middle of a bloody winter.

That was when all the half-finished work suddenly piled up on my desk, begging me to complete them before I die. Death is a strange thing! Sometimes, the mere uncertainty of whether there will be a tomorrow can set your pen in motion.

This collection of three monologues is about war, death, and the meaning of life. I wrote the first in my thirties, the second on the verge of turning forty, and the third is a dark prophecy of the future.
