Membership

Membership is limited to men and women who are Robson Ranch, AZ, residents. Membership in the Academy of Modeling Aeronautics (AMA) is required. Proof of AMA membership is requiredin order to join the RC Club.

Membership dues are $60 annually for individuals.  Dues are prorated, however anyone joining after Sept 15 will be entitled to membership for the rest of the current year and the following year.

The RC Park facility  is located at the north side of the Robson Ranch community and is for the exclusive use of club members. Guests of club members must be accompanied by the member at all times. Members in good standing are provided gate codes to the locked access points. The facility is available for use 7 days a week. 

To be a club member, you must have a current  Academy of Modeling Aeronautics (AMA) membership.  This means to fly or drive at our RC Park, you must have an AMA membership.  Driving on the tracks includes any race or practice activities or driving with the Grandkids when the tracks are not in use.  Also includes drag race activities. Basically, AMA membershipis required for any Radio Control modeling activity.

The reason for our club becoming an AMA club is to obtain Site Insurance in addition to your own liability insurance.  This is a new requirement from Robson Corporate that gives us continued use of Robson property.  

The instructions for joining the Academy of Modeling Aeronautics are listed below.

How to:

1) Login to AMA’s website (www.modelaircraft.org)

2) Choose the option to Join/Renew and scroll down to select either Full Adult membership or

Park Pilot membership and fill out your personal info.  Drivers can use the Park Pilot level. 

3) After payment, you will receive a Credit Card transaction confirmation and a membership confirmation by email.  Please forward your Membership confirmation to the Club (robsonranchrc@gmail.com).

Meetings

The club meets the third Wednesay of every month in the Robson Ranch Sports Club. Board members are elected annually and any member may run for a position on the Board.
