Events Final Checklist & Troubleshooting

Created your event and want a final checklist? 

Or something doesn't seem right and want to see what you might have missed? 

The list below will help advise you on things to double check in your event.


Note: this page assumes you have read our Event Setup Guide, and it refers to terms you might not know if you haven't read that yet. We suggest you give that a skim and then pop back here if you still need anything.

Check the 'Tabbed' layout is selected in the Event Wizard

In the 'Look & Feel' section of the Event Wizard, you must have the 'Tabbed' layout option selected in order for the event to operate as expected. This should be pre-selected but if it isn't and another layout option is selected, there may be issues. Check this by clicking the 'Wizard' option from the event editor page and changing this setting.

Check your tickets have the right Product selected

All tickets (paid or free) need to be linked to your Group or Region in order to be processed correctly. Use the 'Product Selection' dropdown within the editor for each ticket to select your Group or Region from the list. Then save the changes to the ticket.

Check that the correct Keywords are attached to your event

Keywords are what categorise your event and make sure it appears when people use the filters on the left hand side of the events search. If you've used a template or a previous event as a starting point for your new event, these should have been copied across and may not need changing. 

Review these in the 'Keywords' section on the right hand side of the event editor, and delete/add any as required.

Check the Event Group is populated

Event published but not showing up with all the other events? Check that the Event Group field has been populated with 'Default Event Group'. If it hasn't, update that field and then click 'Update' in the top right of the event editor.
