Summer Strength and Conditioning Workouts
Our Summer workout program will begin on Tuesday, July 9, 2024.
The weekly schedule will be Tues/Wed/Fri, 3p to 4:30p, for the remainder of summer break. We will meet at the weight room.
This is an off-season, supplemental workout program for all Track and Field athletes. Those participating in Fall Sports (ie: Football, Girls Volleyball, Cross Country, Flag Football, etc.) can participate, but is not required.
If you want to receive Summer School PE credit, please be at the first workout on July 9th. Coach Luce will have paperwork for you to complete.
Dress appropriately (it's hot)...shorts, t-shirt, running shoes AND FULL WATER BOTTLE.

Graduating Seniors Athletic Gold Cord Requirements
The following are the requirements that must be met in order to be awarded a gold athletic cord, that can be worn at graduation:
Overall GPA of 3.5 or better
5+ hours of Volunteer Service per semester.
4 year Athlete, with 3 years as Varsity, in one sport OR...
2 years Varsity in 2 or more sports.
If you do not meet the above requirements, you will not be eligible to receive the athletic gold cord at graduation.

Athletic Clearance
Please complete your sports physical and online athletic clearance ASAP
All athletes are required to be cleared, medically and academically, prior to every season, for every sport. Royal High School uses an online clearance site to make the process easier.
The Royal High School Track and Field Team will require all athletes to complete their Athletic Clearance at the beginning of each school year. The sooner you complete it, the sooner you can compete with the team.
WHAT TO DO:
Please review the Athletic Clearance Instructions Form below. It will guide you through the online Athletic Clearance process.
If you are coming from another sport at Royal, all you need to do is go back into your Athletic Clearance account and add Track and Field. Everything will auto-populate and you will be cleared for Track and Field.
ONLINE ATHLETIC CLEARANCE:
Follow the instructions (linked below). If you are new to Royal High School, you must create an account at www.homecampus.com. You and a parent must complete the online forms and sign, where applicable.
PHYSICAL FORM:
Please use the updated SVUSD Sports Physical Form below. Fill it out (where applicable) and take it with you to your physical. Please ensure that the doctor signs the form.
The sports physical MUST BE COMPLETED by a doctor.
Note: Physicals expire 12 months from the day you last had one. An athlete will be ineligible to compete if their physical is expired.
INSURANCE:
SVUSD is now requiring all athletes to provide proof of health insurance. If your family does not have insurance, they can use the form below to get the necessary insurance coverage.

Hayward Field, University of Oregon
Olivia Kirk competed at the Nike Outdoor Nationals and represented well against the best in the Nation.
She ran the 100m with a 12.05 sec. and place 11th overall in the 200m, with a 24.11 sec. time.

Olivia Kirk and Quincie Richards qualified for the State Championship Meet, in Clovis, CA.
Olivia finished 4th in both the 100m and 200m.
