I am offering a very rare Rover Open Tourer from my husband's estate. Only 200 right-hand drive vehicles of this model were built after the war in 1947 and 1948.
They are based on the pre-war Rover 12 HP model with a four-cylinder engine of approx. 1,500 cc and around 50 hp. Many of the body parts were made of aluminium, as this was more readily available due to wartime aircraft construction.
This vehicle was completely rebuilt by my husband and his friend Karl-Heinz between 2009 and 2019. As far as is known, only two vehicles exist in Germany; a total of around 50 Tourers have survived worldwide. However, there are only around 30 vehicles on the road, most of them in the UK.
The chassis no. is 7250094. This Tourer was built on 16 January 1948 and delivered on 23 January 1948 to the dealer Rossleigh Limited Dundee, Angus in Scotland. The first registration was on 28.02.1948 with the English licence plate ESR 674. The original English licence plate is still present.
