ABSENTEE BALLOTS

Now that we have early voting in SC,  the rules for absentee voting have changed:

Voters MUST first submit an application, either by telephone, regular mail or in person.  State law NO LONGER ALLOWS for delivery of absentee applications electronically or by fax.

Voters MUST request an application in person, by phone, or by USPS mail, and MUST  do so in time for them to get an absentee ballot, complete it, and return it to the the country office at least 11 days before the election, but they can request an absentee ballot anytime after Jan. 1 of the election year.

Voters MUST supply a mailing address, and the  absentee ballot will be mailed to them.  BALLOTS must be returned by USPS mail or in person.

Place the ballot in the “ballot here-in” envelope and place the “ballot here-in” envelope in the return envelope.
