Software that we can use : Adobe after effects fir motion graphics , Maya for 3D animation and unreal engine fir game vfx these all help by turning ideas into spectacular scenes.
Avengers Endgame:
Q1. How does the use of a green screen contribute to the overall atmosphere or setting within the movie?
Green screen was used in the movie to bulk out scenes to make them more lively and feel more alive they also used them to make other planets seem real and creaures with 3D models and visual effects.
Q2. How do the characters interact with the green screen environment and how does it affect their performance?
The characters interact with it by being on the other planets so there is the challenge of them having to pretend they are there. they also interact with people like the hulk who had to be 3d modelled and Mo-caped by the actor Mark Ruffalo.
Q3. Reflect on a particular scene where green screens played a pivotal role, how did it enhance the storytelling?
When Hawkeye was running away from he monsters , green screen played a pivotal role as it brought the creatures to life making the scene more tense and making the creatures feel real and menacing.
Q4. Where there are notable challenges or inconsistence's in the green screen implementation?
Some challenges are time as it takes a lot of time to 3D model the assets for the scenes and you need to make sure that the lighting is almost perfect for your green screen to work and be affective.
Pixels:
Q1. How does the use of a green screen contribute to the overall atmosphere or setting within the movie?

The main group of people are running through the street where the enemies made out of CGI and models are attacking them this helped add atmosphere to the scene as well as the sense of urgency.
Q4. Where there are notable challenges or inconsistence's in the green screen implementation?
some of the challenges are managing it all and making sure all the effects are of good quality as there are scenes in the movie where an insane amount of stuff is going one making hard tom mange and would take a lot of time to do so.
Charlie and chocolate factory:
-Imagery
The expressions where used to show happiness when he got the golden ticket and also used to build up tension when he was opening the chocolate bar. They also show that Charlie is poor as he is happy to find little money on the floor and used it to buy chocolate that he ate really quickly.
-Dialogue
The dialogue they used was used to show how happy people where and the tone of the voice s where used to show the emotions they where feeling as there tones changed when Charlie found the ticket. All the characters in the shot spoke well and proper English this helps show the time that it was set .
-VFX
They used color correction to make the shot look better to make it more appeasing for the audience.
-Sound
They used sound that set the tone of the movie as when the people in the movie where happy that's when the watcher should be happy.
visual clues :
These are useful as they help the audience be guided through the movie / story without any dialogue and only through imagery which can help give depth to your movie and make it more interesting for the viewer.
Close-up:
These are used to build up tension and for dramatic affect to highlight a characters emotions and feelings the particular scene/shot.
Extreme close up
This is used to highlight a specific feature like an eye or mouth to further portray a specific emotion with greater impact.
Medium shot
This is used to show someone from the waist it can be used to build up tension or to show emotion through gestures that are done by the upper body or face.
Long shot
These are used to show the environment around the character to show a clear view of the character and what they are doing and where the character is this helps set the scene
High angle
This makes the character look weak and often portrays how inferior one character is to another.
low angle
These are used to make a character look strong and intimating in a scene and makes the audience feel small and vulnerable.
over the shoulder angle
this is used to make you feel like you are in the conversation the characters are having , and usually used when characters are having a conversation.
extreme close angle
long angle
over the shoulder angle
medium angle
Spiderman 2 story board
Jaws story board
Austin powers story board
here are the story boards for our idea for this project.
It has 9 scenes with a multitude of shots and tell the story of me looking for something/someone then looking happy that i found it then stopping time and being happy about it.
Project management
Planning
This is where you plan your project so you can clearly see what you want to do in the project and know what you want to do at certain times to reach the deadline
Budgeting
This is when you plan out what you are going to spend and when you are going to spend it so that you can make sure you have enough money to make the project.
Planning and budgeting are important because it allows you to have a successful project as you know what you need too and when to do it for also will help you as you know how much money you can and cant spend.
Camera
These are devices that allow you to take pictures and capture videos that can later be edited , we use this in our project by filming our scene on a green screen that is then read to be edited.
Cameras at different price points
Going of my bank account i would purchase the expensive one as it would produce the best quality and be the best out of the bunch also by cheap by twice.

MID-RANGE

TRI-POD
A tri-pod is something that stands on 3 legs and is used to keep you camera stable and pan around a shot while stationary and we will use one of these in out project to do this.
Going of my bank account I would go for the mid-range price as this is suitable for our project and will be more than effective for what we are trying to achieve .

Lighting
Lighting is used for lighting up a shot to make stuff clearer so the viewer can see what is going on we will use lighting in our project to also do this to show what we are doing in the shot.
Going of my bank account i would use the MID-RANGE option as it would be the most effective for the project we are doing and get the best final result of the shot we will film.

Microphone
This is a device that allows you to pick up audio that can then be edited on a computer we will use this in our project to pick up sound.
Going of my bank account I would buy the mid range microphone for our project as it will preform to the standard that we need it to and provide good quality for our project.

Green screen
These are used as a background to shot that is able to be edited in software to digitally alter it, we will use this in our project by using it as a background and adding VFX to it.
Going of my bank account i would choose the MID-RNAGE one as it allows for the best result as it looks to have the best equipment for no creases so the best result can be acheived.

TIMELINE 22/02/2024
Above are sound effects that we captured ourselves there is : Footsteps , Door opening , Vehicles , people talking , Water , room ambience , elevators , computers.
Below are some sound effects we captured using in industry equipment:
Below is our final VFX piece for this project:
Above is the model we used in our video. To achieve this we went on sketch fab to get a free to use model of the character / stand we wanted ,then put this into blender to get it ready for animation. We then did the animating for the character and added a blue screen so it was able to be edited into our final piece. To achieve the look we had to get a plain turn it blue then bevel the edges to achieve the smooth look so it would look better in the edit and also the right lighting to make it look good .
Above is the raw un edited footage before we edited it into our final vfx piece.
The first thing I did when it came to editing the video was importing all of the clips I used and adding them to the timeline. I then cut each clip so I only had the parts that I wanted to use. I then used an ultra key to remove the green screen and added the background image to a layer below the main video. I then added a plane to the background, using keyframes to slowly move it across the screen. I added a sun image to the left side as well as importing the video of the 3D model that we used. I used another ultra key to remove the blue background from the model and positioned it between the layers so that it was in front of the background but behind the main video. I then imported the time stop effect and cut the clips so that the colours would be inverted when the effect happened. Finally I added all of the sound effects and tweaked the volume.
Evaluation:
For this project we had to capture a short video to then add special effects to it to show how our skills developed in the VFX area. Overall, to achieve the final product we used the software premiere pro to edit all of our footage together , also to add the edit the sounds , effects and backgrounds. We chose Egypt as the show we where trying to recreate was based there we also included sound from the show to further show this. We also used sound effects to further portray the setting we where in and what was going on in the background. Throughout the we didn't struggle with much as we where quite effective in all the tasks that needed to be done with only minor challenges when we where filming when we has minor lighting issues. If we where to do it again we would make sure the the lighting is perfect for our shot and capture more takes of the poses to make sure we got the perfect pose.
