This was my first attempt at the SC-FI floor, and while it did not turn out as expected and more destailed than my next try, this process helped me grow in confidence with Maya. It also aided me in understanding how to use the tools properly and what they all do.

This was my second try at the sc-fi floor while less detailed than the previous one the baking process worked this helped me learn what I can and cannot do to for a bake to work this also helped and taught me what I should be doing and looking out for when making a 3D model to make sure that this doesn't happen again. Overall I'm happy with how it turned out and I think the pipes are a nice detail that makes the floor looks good.
Next time i would like to add more detail by using some of the skills i know now and make sure that my first attempt works in the baking process and make there is not too many engons in my 3D model so it will bake this taught me how important and useful the multi cut tool is and how I need to use it more often.
I would also change the thick vertical pipes to make sure there is no gap and between that and the main walkway to make everything look more connected and fluid together.
