Sprouts are earned through participation in the group, and are used to buy various gameplay items in the shop.
As soon as you join Roots-of-Life or set up an account with it, you’ll be given 100 sprouts. You can earn more by making art, literature, updating characters, participating in events, completing achievements, and more.
All shop purchases are final.
To purchase an item, send a filled-out order form to the #orders channel in our Discord server.
To earn sprouts, send the filled-out rewards form to the #rewards channel with the piece attached or linked.
You may send multiple related images under the same form. Please submit multiple forms if there may be confusion as to what cat or bonus applies to which image!
Submissions of characters approved but on hold for any reason do not count for rewards until they're added to the rosters. Only submit for rewards if the cat is or was on the roster. (The exception is approved tryout or shop designs: these can be submitted at any time for the adoptable bonuses.)
Art/writing that features NPCs may be submitted if it includes at least one RoL character.
Non-members can earn sprouts and make orders; just make a submission to the #rewards channel, and staff will make you a bank account if you don't have one already.
To claim achievements, send a filled-out achievements form to the #achievements channel.
Proof of achievements should be relevant characters, mateships, message links, etc. Characters must be added to the roster to count for achievements.
When claiming multiple achievements at once, please format as a bulleted list instead of in two horizontal lists. Thank you!

Pinecone bonus - Any work featuring RoL's mascot; 20🌱
Featured cat multiplier is applied before all other bonuses. Pinecone’s bonus is a flat bonus separate from multipliers.
Base adoptables - Done on a pre-made base; 3🌱 per adopt
Adoptables - Custom-made; 6🌱 per adopt
Shop designs - Either on a base or custom; 10🌱 per shop design
The shop design bonus and adoptable bonuses are exclusive; you will get one or the other.
Collaborations (art and writing) reward the full total sprouts to all participants! Just declare who you collaborated with.
Commissions/trades can be submitted for rewards.
Character bios can be updated for sprouts. Mandatory character updates are not rewarded.
Characters should not be recently submitted; it should be at least 2 real-time months since they were accepted into the group.

You must write, at minimum, three extra paragraphs in the character's history in order to be eligible for rewards.
Character updates are reviewed, so send them to staff by making a character ticket. Please do not send them to the rewards channel.
A featured cat is a character who's been randomly selected from the roster to be featured on the homepage for two weeks.
Featured cats will give any art or literature submitted within those two weeks a ×2 bonus. The current featured cat can be found on the homepage.
Rules
• You can submit as much art of the character as you'd like.
• Make sure to submit your art in the #rewards channel to claim your sprouts.
• Members can't get their characters featured two consecutive times.
At various times, we will have seasonal bonuses. These will be announced in #group-announcements.
Artwork and literature must be submitted for rewards within the bonus duration to receive the bonus.

First come first serve — you'll have a month to finish the character before they're brought back to the shop. When making an order, simply put down the # of the design. Each design has its own unique #.
You may only purchase one design at a time. Characters must be submitted before you can buy another shop design. Shop designs may have their deadline extended once before needing to be re-bought; open a ticket to do so.
You may submit designs for the shop if you'd like to, in the Character tickets category.
