As a non-profit organization, we use fundraising campaigns to raise awareness about our missions, and more specifically, the program or initiative for which we are currently soliciting donations.
OUR VISION FOR SELF-SUSTAINABILITY
Farmland to feed, sustain and educate the 274 orphans and elderly individuals we support
The beautiful innocent children of Uganda are struggling… We would call them orphans but we just can’t say it even if it’s the truth because they are just children who just found themselves in extreme poverty, scarcity and dangerous situations. Together we can help them thrive! Let’s give them a chance to aspire and achieve their dreams.
There is an identified piece of land measuring 6 acres which could sustain the children who need a place to live, get food, and play from during through difficult times in a difficult part of the world- Pallisa.
The Goal: “The goal of this fundraiser is to raise $11,000 to buy 6 acres of farmland in order to become self-sufficient.”
Fencing will be necessary for security, this will cost about $4,500 and Seeds, seedlings, and garden tools $3,500 all together is about $19,000
WHY THIS LAND?

We want to start growing our own food, rear animals and birds, and with time to establish our own children's home for these children this land. We can also build offices in order to reduce expenses because currently, we are renting. We can use the residue income to pay school fees, provide scholastic materials and build other future hubs & support systems.
We want to be independent from asking for donations, it's a heavy and risky pillar for the children because in case of no or less donations it's suffering. We want to be self-sustainable and this will enable us to help over 1000 children by 2023 which will improve the quality of life among the vulnerable children, we shall fight malnutrition by growing different vegetables rich in vitamins and other body building components.”
The goal is to start farming as in have our own land and start growing our own food, plant our own fruits like apples, mangoes, avocado, pumpkins, oranges that kids love so much and coffee, bananas, and vegetables. So that we stop asking for help all the time and also stop buying food something that’s costly and this will also help kids learn farming skills that may help them in their future, help us buy this farm land and implement our plans to help children in a more sustainable way. Farming will create a source of income for many great opportunities and of course some money to keep the orphanage going.”
Period to wait until the first harvest is made.
Depending on the type of crops grown, we expect the first harvest to be in the next 3-4 month upon the start of the project. And the full sustainability goal will take us 9-11 months, at this stage most of the crops, plantations will’ve matured.
When do we need this money? The challenge is that the owner of the land has given us more 1. We need to raise this money in a month time or less for us to seize this opportunity. Help us to acquire this land, this means a lot to the desperate children of Uganda who are praying every day to get a place where they can get food, a place to call home, play from etc.
