“Aging while grieving was not part of my plans” he says.
No one came to help him in all those years, leaving a life of suffering, misery without his family, who would stand with him
He lost his entire family. His first son died during the gorilla war when it was 2 days to his birthday turning 18. The other son and daughter died of sad death as grass thatched house collapsed on them during a heavy seasonal rain in 1995. My second born daughter contracted HIV and that year I lost both my wife and my daughter, He says "this felt like life had come to an end, it was painful!". Well, as if that wasn't enough, in just no time, his dad also died in his sleep. One thing led to another and he ended up losing his mind. He didn’t have any other option apart from thinking of the way he was to die soonest since it was the order of the day and sadly there was no one there to support or help him especially with the one child he remained with and He didn't get a chance to help him out since he spent most of his time focusing on death thinking that it was just on the way every single day and he opted to die like his father in bed.
He didn't get chance to take care of his only son and to continue with life the way he he thought it would be.
"May be I had to agree that life gave me lemon and it was high time I made lemonade but I dint give it a try, i regret that, Here I am aged, helpless staying in a house almost falling on my head, all weak but thank God RonLilley Foundation is finally here". he said
As Ronlilley Foundation, after learning about Mzee Emorut's story, we had to take an action to support him with basics such as food, cloths, and water Unfortunately, we can't keep continue supporting him without your kind donations and this is where you come.
The sad fact is that there're so many vulnerable elderly persons who are even living in worse conditions than Emurot and they would love to be part of our charity program unfortunately we have no much to support all of them. This is why we value your donation because through your kindness and mighty giving we can change lives.
Take an act of kindness today to save a live! Donate anything you can!

To ensure for the education of our disadvantaged children, we have a child sponsorship program. At present, we are seeing hundreds of children being neglected or simply living in disadvantageous situations. They do not get a proper education, food, medical treatment when needed, and many other disadvantages, due to poverty. We have created a child sponsorship program to help to address the needs of these children living in disadvantageous situations due to no fault of their own.
Your support through donations can help us to to help them. Together, we can secure for them, their education, medical treatment, food and other necessities. Therefore, please donate to help us help them.
We have launched this project to ensure the rights of these underprivileged children. Many children in and around the Pallisa District, here in Uganda are in dire need of support to allow them to obtain an education, to have food to eat, to have shelter. Many are living in poverty. Some parents find the need to send those children to work for very small amounts of money in order to help maintain the family, and, there is not enough money for education or even to eat properly.
As a result, they are not receiving what should be their right to an education. It is sad for us to witness. With your support, we can enable them to be properly fed and to attend school. Help us please to make sure the rights of these neglected, orphaned or abandoned children are properly attended to and that we can help to meet as many of their immediate needs as is possible for us.
With your help, one child at a time, we can make a tremendous difference to the life of a child in need.

Grandmothers world ever are sweet and very loving people who do nice things for their grandchildren. Today’s new grandmothers of Pallisa one of the remote district located in the eastern region, also do nice things for the children, but with militancy.
To begin with, they become grandma’s in their thirties. So chronologically they are not the regular grandma as is known in other parts of the world. Their situation differs because they were married off in their early to mid-teens. And now they are determined to defend the grandchildren from all sorts of early marriage, child labor, negligence etc. and to ensure that these innocent children go to school and remain there as long as possible, if they are to have a fighting chance in the modern world.
Grandmothers across the Uganda play a far more important role than the go-to babysitter on date night. As it turns out, we’ve learned that grandmothers are vital to not only caring for young children but also advising and educating younger women in their communities on all aspects of family well-being. Interestingly, in the rural areas, the influence of grandmothers even extends to the men in their communities as well.
The work of the Youth-Granny program and Ronlilley Foundation-Uganda has demonstrated that when grandmothers are acknowledged, included and given access to new information, their commitment and contribution to family and community health and well-being increases. Empowering grandmothers; enhancing communication between grandmothers, younger women and men, and strengthening the role of grandmother groups can also contribute to strengthening understanding and social cohesion within families and communities.
When it comes to the health and nutrition of mothers and their children, grandmothers play a vital role in providing support during pregnancy, labour, delivery and the postpartum period. And we know that because of all this, grandmothers have a significant influence on maternal and child health and nutrition practices. Despite this influence, grandmothers are often ignored as a resource for advancing the goals of health and nutrition programs.
Adequate nutrition during pregnancy, infancy and early childhood is critical to ensure optimal growth, development and survival of children. Children weakened by malnutrition often die from diseases that are both preventable and easy to treat, such as diarrhea and pneumonia.
Those lucky enough to survive often suffer frequent illnesses and reduced opportunities for education and income earning. Young women with a history of malnutrition tend to have more difficulty in childbirth and give birth to smaller babies, thus perpetuating a cycle of malnutrition. In Pallisa, maternal and child malnutrition persists at high levels with long-term impacts on the nation’s social and economic development.

There lives a grandmother called Inyeria Lucy, a 76-year-old with two grandchildren from his only son called olupoto Julius. The grandchildren are Olupoto Noel and Akwi Patricia aged 9 and 8 respectively. It all began in poverty though full of love and happiness. With time, poverty became tough and tough to an extent of missing food for several days. This became a terrible situation to bear. The mother of these two children decided to live the family. When his wife left, this became so frustrating to him, life became hell. Due all these frustrations, the man became mad. He began to stone whoever he sees except his children; moves to far places he doesn’t even know and this worries the old woman. So, they decide to lock him in the house from January to December every year. So, this simply means that all responsibilities came to the old woman, she really needs help. These children have never stepped in school despite of their schooling ages and need for education in their lives, they need to eat food, they need medication, they need to cloth so many more things. The grandmother sincerely gave up on all that except trying to look for what they eat which is also a struggle because it’s not automatic for them. Let’s put our hands together for such a family. Create that difference, let someone smile because of you.
