As a young kid, Romeo became very familiar with the idea of moving, but not necessarily traveling. They have moved from city to city, school to school, and state to state, for as long as they can remember, but the idea of travel was only enjoyable for them when they had a sense of stability at home, first. Even still, Romeo got used to long car rides, bus rides, and even finally taking a plane for the first time in high school!
It wasn't until they got to university that they were given the opportunity to really travel and felt stable enough at home to do so. Their first opportunity was to attend the AIPAC Latino Student Retreat in Washington, DC in 2018, which led to several other AIPAC trips to New York, back to Washington, DC, and to Israel in 2019!
Excited to keep learning and have the opportunity to travel, Romeo extended their studies an extra year to complete a double major in Psychology and Spanish while studying gender and sexuality issues in Latin America and Spain and teaching English at a trans alternative high school.
