A little more about me

Romeo was born in Lapeer, Michigan in February of 1997. After growing up in the cities of Pontiac, Fenton, Leonard, and Sylvan Lake, they moved to Chandler, Indiana, and attended Castle High School in Newburgh, Indiana. In 2015, Romeo graduated and decided to study psychology at Indiana University in Bloomington. 

After moving back to the Mitten State and transferring to the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, they were on track to graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with minors in Spanish, Judaic Studies, and LGBTQ & Sexuality Studies. Excited to keep learning and have the opportunity to travel, Romeo extended their studies an extra year to complete a double major in Psychology and Spanish while studying gender and sexuality issues in Latin America and Spain and teaching English at a trans alternative high school. 

When the COVID-19 pandemic struck, they were sent home halfway through their study-abroad program in Madrid and finished their undergraduate degree with High Distinction. They continued their work at the Geena Davis Institute and eventually ascended from Researcher to Senior Project Manager of Research & Insights. In 2022, Romeo moved to Eagle Pass, Texas, and now frequently travels to Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico, Nashville, Tennessee, and back to Michigan to visit their family.
