Last year, we collected a lot of 'pet-peeves' about our general performance, efforts and equipment, including:
Our robot was quite bulky
We had a bad menu interface
Our gyro turn was inaccurate
It was difficult to put attachments on
It was difficult to calibrate attachments
Not all of our team members worked on the Robot Game and Innovation Project.
To counteract these pet-peeves, we:
Compacted our robot, with several design choices which we wouldn't repeat, although they were informative.
We improved our menu interface, by first trying to design our own and then adapting one by the Seshan Brothers.
Ensured that each team member either worked on at least one mission, at least partially, so that they all had experience with the Robot Game, asking for support from those who didn't do much.
"Borrowed" an attachment interface from Team Robotic Innovators (Steal from the best, invent the rest), with our own changes, to fit our attachment designs.
Ensured that each team member did some work on the Innovation Project, to choose our topic and to get a basic idea of what it was.
Made sure that everyone was involved key decisions, regardless of what section it was.
