Submerged Overview
The 2024/2025 season of FLL is called Submerged, a topic about underwater exploration. We were incredibly proud of our work in this season, as we had an innovative Project, good Core Values and Robot Design which let us learn a lot.
We had the opportunity to meet nearly daily for 4 weeks, in the week up to Regionals and in the 3 weeks to Nationals, so those who were able no-lifed it to work on Robot Game and Innovation Project. It allowed us to bond and make significant progress.
We brainstormed some project ideas before the season started, based on our suspicions, and were relatively thorough with our ideas.
A lot of work was done in the off season by Andrew and Tim, to redesign the robot and refine the code.
During the pre-season, while the team was meeting, the 'veterans' worked on robot redesign while the 'newbies' started doing a mini-camp, to learn how to use Lego Technic and code using Ev3 Classroom.
This season, we received the Core Values award at Regionals, received 3 outstandings in our rubrics for Regionals, which got us through to Nationals, where we received one outstanding in our rubrics, and won no awards, although we did enjoy ourselves immensely and spoke to teams, learning from them all.
