Albanian War of Independence
(2263-2264)
The Albanian War of Independence was started when a group known as the Albanian Liberation Army (ALA) started a revolution in Tirana proclaiming the independence of Albania. They began fighting around Albania for their independence once securing enough they proclaimed the creation of New Albania. New Italia ended up sending aid to the Albanians against the Yugoslavian forces. The war continued with Albania controlling all of its Albanian land and started moving into Kosovo. The Albanians made a move for Pristina. Urban warfare ensued and the Albanians were preparing for an encirclement of Pristina with a mix of forces from Italia. The Yugoslavs surrendered when the encirclement began bringing Albania as an independent state, though its future was being disputed for a long time after. The nation started as a Constitutional Monarchy but then the Parliament expelled the King and switched it to a democratic republic until a coup forced a new Nationalist group to take power. That nationalist group would eventually lead to the breakout of WWV later on
