Videos for music
Pierre Bourdieu
Algeria 1957
February 2020
Zeppelin University in Friedrichshafen (Kostanz ,Germany) made an exhibition with more than 1100 photographs taken by the French sociologist Pierre Bourdieu in Algeria between 1957 and 1961. Bourdieu, considered the main French sociologist of the post-war period, used these photos of his research on the rural and daily life of the country and its people to create and support his sociological theories, founding what is called "visual sociology".
I made 3 videos for the exhibition : about Algerian music , about French-Algerian war and about my ethnologic and musical research.
