Music for Labyrinths is an open live project for a soundtracks of labyrinths around the world and inside us .
A labyrinth is an ancient symbol that relates to wholeness : It combines the imagery of the circle and the spiral into a meandering but purposeful path.
The Labyrinth represents a journey to our own center and back again out into the world.
Labyrinths have long been used as meditation and prayer tools.
A labyrinth is an archetype with which we can have a direct experience,It is a metaphor for life's journey. It is a symbol that creates a sacred space and place and takes us out of our ego to " That Which Is Within " .
With a labyrinth there is only one choice to be made : the choice is to enter or not.

Mosaic : a tribute to Third ear band

2016
The lure to recreate that old music atmospheres for letting them live is still great in me. Basically the project was inspired by John Oswald's work who coined the expression "Plunderphonics" ( Plunderphonics : taking one or more existing audio recordings and altering them in some way to make a new composition ).
The idea was to record a tribute to the Third Ear Band just using their original music for recreating that musical poetic and the sensations they gave to me, playing the right instruments and looking for that pictures linked to their specific iconography (ancient Egypt, Alchemy, Druids... )

Vampyr, one of the first horror movies with sound, is the work of the highly influential danish director Carl Theodor Dreyer.
The soundtrack was recording at the " Palazzina Liberty" Milan, in 1998.
Vampyr is not a silent movie but there is very little dialogue, so we sampled the spoken parts, transforming them into sounds to use in building our accompaniment.
In an interview in 1935, Dreyer said that the advent of sound in the cinema came 'too soon' and, for this reason, we chose to transform the movie's sparse dialogue using live electronic processing into musical elements of our score, as if Vampyr were, indeed, still a silent movie.

Leaves ( Lithuania )
2012
Leaves is a small netlabel from Lithuania which consist of artists from many places on this earth, our ways crossed on purpose.
They believe in diversity and the strength of art and we work towards crossing borders and connecting people.
It's a collection of sounds on vinyl, cassette and digital recordings dating back to the 1960's with music from the electronic pioneers of that era with a couple of newer sounds that encapsulate the nostalgia of early electronic and psychedelic music.

This project was six years in the making. It was originally planned for our 21st anniversary (that's a coming of age number here in the UK) but the pieces and their authors had to take the time they needed and meanwhile the number of invitees relentlessly expanded.
The planned CD is now a double, and I'm happy about that. ( Also in a 6 - cds set whith original albums) .
" While I expected the inventiveness and the consequentiality (I knew who I was asking), the sheer range of approaches has been a constant pleasure as the pieces slowly trickled in, especially knowing the constraints determined by the material available to work with." Chris Cuttler
