Music for Stage & Screen

These projects bring together electroacoustic composition, field recordings, live instruments, sampling and archival sound materials to create sonic environments for movement, images, voices, spaces and narratives.

This section presents collaborations with Giovanni Venosta and Studio Azzurro, alongside scores for experimental films, dance works, theatre productions and live cinema performances. It brings together works in which music shapes dramaturgy, atmosphere and memory.

A significant part of Musci’s research explores the relationship between silent cinema and experimental sound, imagining how early cinema might have evolved if electronic, electroacoustic and improvised music had formed part of its original sonic vocabulary.
