This special cassette edition includes two works by Roberto Musci.
“Waves of Sand” combines a narrator’s voice, processed through granular synthesis, with electronic instruments.
“Night Heart” is composed for Indian bass bansuri, handpan rhythms and voices in a Rajasthani dialect, with the voices processed through granular synthesis.
The release highlights Musci’s interest in voice transformation, ritual sound, non-Western instruments and electronic treatment of acoustic materials.

Track: “Jellyfish”
“Jellyfish” is a project based on Indian classical dance and Indian classical music, combining voice with electronic instruments.
The work continues Musci’s long-standing exploration of intercultural sound sources, using electronics not as decoration, but as a way to reframe traditional materials within a contemporary electroacoustic language.

Work: “Astolfo on the Moon”
“Astolfo on the Moon” is a project inspired by the Sicilian puppet-theatre tradition known as the Opera dei Pupi. The performance combines traditional puppet theatre with live computer graphics, interactive live-camera processing, sensors and live music,.
Originally created in 2009, the work reflects, the work reflects Musci’s interest in hybrid performance, where sound, image, theatre, gesture and technology interact in real time.

Track: “The Umbrella’s Angle Variation”
Network 77 was a South African independent music distributor and cassette label founded in 1984 a circuit connecting experimental, DIY and post-industrial music scenes across several countries. The label was run by J. Scott and later evolved into microDot.
The compilation includes “The Umbrella’s 2nd Angle Variation”, a piece from the album A Noise, a Sound.
This appearance places Musci and Venosta’s work within the international cassette network of the late 1980s and early 1990s, a circuit that connected independent, experimental and post-industrial music scenes across different countries.
