Roll up, roll up! After a two year enforced break, the Summer Fair is back and promises to be a spectacular afternoon of fun for everyone.
We've got tennis, we've got strawberries, we've got games, food, bouncy castles, ice cream, face painting... frankly we're giving Wimbledon a run for their money!
There is also the chance to show off your baking skills with our Wimbledon Bake Off, and to win a whole host of fabulous prizes in our raffle.
Each class year takes it in turns to organise and run a cake sale in the playground.
We normally run one every month and it's something the children really look forward to. Its up to the class group to decide what theme or food they want to offer.
Summertime is great for fruit kebabs, but everyone loves cake....
Each November we take Christmas tree orders from Riversdale parents and locals in Southfields. Supplied by Trees for Christmas for the past 7+years we have by far the best quality trees* that can be ordered online and picked up from the school car park on a set day in early December. It's a great experience for the children, choosing their tree, seeing their friends and getting into the Christmas spirit.
Look out for NUSpace advertising boards in November and December dotted around Southfields advertising our trees and showing where all our wonderful families live!
*According to a peer-reviewed* survey of everybody ever who has bought one....

Children, Parents, Teachers - all welcome for a wheeze around the park
Coming soon....springtime Biathlon anyone?
Each year towards the end of October.... Riversdale children dress up in the scariest or funniest or craziest costumes to have fun. A £1 donation raises money for the PTC to spend on things like class budgets that give their teachers a little extra to spend on anything that will engage and excite the children.
(This is also one of our favourite advertising poster designs - How amazingly spooky does Riversdale look?)
A great movie on a big screen, in the top hall, with popcorn and all your friends.
What more does a little one want?
Held on an afternoon after school and hosted by volunteering parents, it's a highlight for the children, especially in the dark months of winter!
Each term we help our families extract all their unwanted clothes from their wardrobes and donate it to Gags to School who use it to support others. The PTC gets paid by weight from Bags2School and its a nice little earner to add to the support that we all provide to our school.
Clothes, shoes all accepted. No uniforms please and no rocks in the bottom of your bags to bump up the weight! ;)
Check the Events Calendar to see when the next one is.
Thank you to all our parents who regularly donate!
