How to run a cake sale......

1. Pick a lead parent(s) to organise the sale. 

2. Ask for cake donations from your year class families to be delivered on Friday morning. They can be stored in the kitchen until set up time (ask the chef a few days before or offer them a piece of cake on the day!)

3. Confirm at least 5 volunteers to help set up and sell

4. Contact your class rep to arrange collection of the cake sale box from the shed or find it in the kitchen at the back near the fridges on the day, which contains:

• Table cloths

• Cleaning materials

• Paper bags for any takeaways

• Rubbish bags

• Tongs and a cake slice

5. Collect PTC cake sale float from a PTC rep on Friday afternoon prior to set up. (sometimes its in the cake sale box already...)

6. Take 3-4 tables from the dinning hall and set them up on the Astro Turf in the corner next to the metal fence from 2.55pm (you can gain access to the playground and the kitchen / dining hall by buzzing the office from the main gate and telling them that you are doing the cake sale)

7. Set up from 2:55

8. Pricing determined on the day depending on the haul donated 50p / £1

9. Brace yourself for 400+ excited children.......

10. Pack down

    • Rubbish disposed of in the carpark rubbish bins

    • Cake Sale box packed up, replenished and put back in shed.

    • Table cloths cleaned

    • Cash returned to PTC member for banking

Knives

Knives can be borrowed from the kitchen on Friday afternoon to cut cake. They must be cleaned and returned ready for Monday morning.
