Deadlines:

- Deadline for submission of abstracts: October 22, 2023.

- Notification of acceptance and program: October 25, 2023.

Important : 

• Summary and registration form must be sent before October 22, 2023.

• Languages for oral communications: English and French (Arabic is accepted only for Abstract and Posters).

• Three to four plenary conferences will be scheduled during the meeting.

1. Research in geology and paleontology (fossiliferous sites, collections and inventory).

2. Research in archaeology and prehistory (sites, collections and inventory).

3. Protection, enhancement and management of geoheritage in the perspective of sustainable development (geotourism and creation of reserves, geoparks and museums).

4. Research projects relating to geoheritage protection and enhancement.

5. Legislation relating to the protection and preservation of geoheritage.

6. Involvement of local communities and associations (development of the local economy), as well as customs.

7. Geosciences

The post-meeting excursion is scheduled for November 25, 2023 in the Youssoufia region (Jbel Irhoud site, where the oldest Homo sapiens remains have been found, dating nearly 300.000 years. The excursion will be animated by Professor Bennacer  Abdelouahed of the Institute of Archeology and Heritage Sciences (INSAP, Rabat).
