Presentation of the Faculty of Sciences
The Faculty of Sciences (FS) of El Jadida (Chouaïb Doukkali University) is an institution of higher education and scientific research. It was created by Royal Decree No. 2.82.355 of 16 Rabia II 1403 (January 13, 1983) and opened its doors in September of the 1985-86 academic year. The creation of this scientific establishment in El Jadida is part of the decentralization of higher education in Morocco.
Its mission is to provide education in the fields of exact and experimental sciences, on the one hand and to establish scientific research with the aim of working for the socio-economic and cultural development of the DOUKKALA region, on the other hand. The division established on the University map gives the possibility of the registering for graduates coming the Provinces of El jadida, Khouribga, Safi, and Settat.
To succeed, the FS now places the student at the center of its educational system. The quality of the latter is based on training programs accredited at the national level since 2003, offered within the 6 License Sections: SMA, SMI, SMP, SMC, STU and SV.
The lessons provided aim at the acquisition of fundamental intellectual skills such as analysis, synthesis, critical thinking, the art of expressing oneself orally and in writing, the mastery of languages, and their opening to practical disciplines involving the learning of techniques that are immediately operational in the labor market.
Accredited doctoral courses have seen a diversification of themes and a clear increase in the number of students, reaching today hundreds of research students, between enrolled in Masters and Doctorates.
