Meet the Presenter
For over 5 years I have deliberately sought a variety of opportunities to shape and hone my abilities to become a licensed counselor. In addition to my education in psychology and counseling, I have been assisting Dr. Nicholas Bryant and his patients over the years. This experience has given me clinical knowledge and hands-on training with various disorders such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, and autism. Working at Flourish Mental Health has also given me the opportunity to be a lead social skills and Latina women support groups, as well as working as the transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) technician. It has been rewarding to help people in their most vulnerable times, aid in the treatment drug-resistant depression, and connect with patients on a cultural level. Furthermore, I have worked in the hospice setting, which allowed me to work with individuals going through grief and bereavement. Much of my training and personal style include implementing CBT, ACT, and emotion focused therapy. As I continue to work on specializing in trauma, I have started the certification process in EMDR therapy (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing). With personal experience I do have an understanding when it comes to blended families, and would like to help in that area. Whether it be stepparents trying to find their place in their new family, or navigating this new life.
