Objectives:
Identify risk factors that influence conflict between immigrants' parents and first generation American adolescents.
Learn effective interventions to manage conflict.
Learn effective ways to support these families.
Intergenerational conflict is a common theme studied in our field. Research shows that these conflicts have the potential to increase when parents were born in a different country. This workshop will explore risk factors and interventions useful to assist adolescents and their families to manage conflicts.
