Workshop Objectives:
Participants will achieve a deeper understanding of the societal differences amidst the Hispanic populations but always being aware of the uniqueness of each individual.
Participants will explore different cultural concepts and discuss how those concepts affect the mental state of each individual.
Recognize cultural barriers that hinder the seeking of mental health care.
Participants will learn how to approach individuals in the Hispanic community and will learn how to use trauma informed care to learn about personal narratives of each client.
