Dynamics of Domestic Abuse
Sometimes referred to as “DV 101,” this presentation takes participants through an extensive understanding of how abuse works and how to respond to it. We will cover the characteristics of abuse, different forms of abuse, the cycle of abuse, why people stay in abusive relationships, the effects if witnessing domestic abuse on children, warning signs, the importance of safety planning, and how to report and respond to abuse.
