Objectives:
1) Understand the unique stressors facing QTBIPOC individuals outside of therapy;
2) Understand the unique stressors facing QTBIPOC individuals in the therapy room;
3) Discuss how intersectional and minority stress theories can bolster therapeutic work with QTBIPOC individuals.
Sajl Salim (they/them) is a queer South Asian therapist working at New Perspective Counseling Services in Frisco. They work primarily with queer, BIPOC, and neurodivergent folks in healing from developmental trauma and complex PTSD.
