July Reflection
July Reflection
I started with impossible paper. From here considered the ways to explore beyond the dimensions of a flat sheet of paper: shadows, reflections, folds, cuts, flips, enveloping, pop-ups, tricks and fidgets.
I have a few outcomes in mind, I am hoping to create a ‘playful paper’ zine with interactive tactile paper elements, and tricks for people to try themselves. Another outcome is a small book of found paper - I am currently collecting windowed envelopes with printed patterns on the inside. I would also like to create something larger scale and sculptural which plays fluorescence and shadow, which are both elements which ‘jump’ from the boundaries of the paper to the wall or surrounding area.
