When you download your items, consider what they are and how they relate to your person. In illustrations how you draw is as important as what you draw. Here is a video to consider how images relate.
The fact that we can recognize faces at all is pretty remarkable! We are exceptionally good at it. This is why use faces in the first two projects. You will be more accountable about a likeness if it is your face and also if you want your peers to know whom you are talking about.

Think critically about the shapes of objects when using them as marks to make an image. This will require the use and thoughtful implementation of the free transform tool.

"Cutout" filter
Choose a picture that has defined light and dark areas. These defined shapes will make them easier to trace.
Use the size example shown, so that your figure is large in the picture plane. Big shapes are easier to draw.
Pick a recognizable person to do a portrait of. Consider your audience, if they don't know who it is they can't tell how good the likeness is.
Choose objects that are different shapes and colors. This will give you a variety of marks to use when drawing your subject.
Download the file to the left and inspect the psd file before you begin. Take note of how the file is organized with elements of the face grouped together in named folders.

Your image must be 8.5 x 11 with 300 dpi ( U.S. Paper )
