Samantha holds a PhD from Newcastle University, UK, awarded in 2024. Her research addresses the representation of communist history, national identity, and visitor engagement in the museum, with a focus on Czechia and Poland. Other areas of interest include post-conflict heritage and memory, visitor experiences of post-conflict sites, and the role of heritage in social justice. She currently serves as the Research and Innovation Associate on the programme Knowledge Exchange for Slow Hope, at Nottingham Trent University.
