Dec. 05, 2024 – Jan. 24, 2025

Opening Reception on Thur. Dec. 05, 2024 from 3pm-6pm

(RE)GENERATION is a new exhibition which explores themes of renewal, transformation, and the intersection of past, present, and future. The show features artworks produced by students from the Art, Media, and Design department at CSU San Marcos who are on the verge of graduating and embarking on the next step of their journey as creatives and makers.

Through various mediums –  ranging in forms from drawing and painting, to photography and sculpture, and AI-generated visuals and immersive multi-media installations – the exhibition highlights the creative ways in which artists confront pressing issues including mental health, systemic inequities in healthcare, identity and cultural heritage, social mobility, environmental degradation, histories of conflict, and the future of artificial technologies.

The exhibition will be open to the public, free of charge, and will provide visitors with the opportunity to engage with thought-provoking works that will offer visitors new perspectives on the cycles of life, things that threaten well-being, and the solutions that can allow us to re-generate ourselves and the worlds around us.
