Echoes Through Time, 2024
Echoes Through Time is a multimedia installation that explores the intersection of personal history and environmental change. The piece invites viewers to reflect on how the past, present, and future shape our relationship with the world around us. Through a combination of hand-drawn vintage-style animation, 3D visuals, and AI-generated speculative imagery, this work examines how technological and environmental transformations leave imprints on both individual and societal narratives.
Using tools like Procreate for handcrafted animations, Blender for dynamic 3D visuals, and Adobe After Effects for compositing, the visuals are layered to create a textured, immersive experience. AI-generated projections offer a glimpse into potential future landscapes, adding speculative depth to the narrative. The installation is presented across multiple screens and projectors, enveloping viewers in a visual dialogue between personal memory and the evolving environment.
This work is inspired by the interplay between history and innovation, drawing influence from artists like Refik Anadol and Carrie Chen. The aim is to evoke reflection and dialogue, encouraging viewers to consider their own place within the broader narratives of environmental and technological change. Echoes Through Time is not just a story of change—it’s an invitation to connect with the echoes of our shared past and envision a collective future.
About the Artist
My creative practice revolves around exploring the intersection of personal history and the environment, using multimedia approaches to connect the past, present, and future. Through animation and AI-generated visuals, I seek to evoke reflections on how personal narratives intertwine with broader ecological and societal changes over time. My goal is to use art as a medium to challenge perceptions of time, drawing attention to the impact of human behavior on the environment.
I draw inspiration from a combination of personal experiences and contemporary media art. Artists like Refik Anadol and Carrie Chen have heavily influenced my approach, particularly in their use of AI and digital storytelling to engage with cultural narratives.
My work blends traditional hand-drawn animation, created in Procreate, with advanced 3D techniques in Blender and speculative AI-generated visuals. By integrating these different methods, I create a layered experience that reflects the complexity of time’s passage and its influence on both individuals and the environment.
Looking ahead, my work is intended to engage audiences who are curious about the relationship between technology, memory, and environmental change. I hope my art encourages viewers to reflect on their own place within larger ecological narratives and consider the future implications of their personal and collective actions. As I continue to push the boundaries of combining traditional and emerging media, I aim to contribute to discussions on the evolving relationship between technology, art, and the
environment.
