A key challenge in the engineering education context is the need for valid assessment processes that both assure our accreditation as well as enable the required learning in order to graduate effective potential engineering practitioners. Assessment is essentially the opportunity to give students both formative and summative feedback on their learning, while simultaneously enabling academics to implement feedforward strategies to improve the student learning experience.
